Ultimate Enemy
Part 1
(I will be posting this story in parts)
Everyone has read typical fairy tales, all of them have a prince and a princess that fall in love. Always beginning the story with Once upon a time… But nope not me; that maybe a type of fairy tale, but the kind of fairy tale that I like to write about is all dramatic and full of a bunch of incredible lessons that you can learn from reading, and of course there is romance in it as well. Alright, I’ll get onto the story that I’m about to tell you. The book is called “Ultimate Enemy” I’m Ronald and this story has been read to me by my father, who read it from his father, who read it from his father. For more than ninety years this has been passed down.

The story took place in a world unlike ours. This story aimed on one person in particular named Samson. About three hundred sixty pounds. He is pretty strong he once was so angry that he was punching a humongous tree, and in about twelve punches it fell over. Samson had curly brown hair. At that point in time he was eighteen years old.

Samson had a brother named Nominum who was a little younger. They did do a lot together and honestly Nominum kind of told him the technique on where to hit the beasts when you try to catch them. Nominum was also good at preparing the meat, and doing everything properly. They always played together. One day when they were walking in the forest, Samson carved a beautiful angel using one of his daggers. Nominum in return gave Samson a necklace that looked like a scale that represented balance. On the necklace there was a carving that looked like a seesaw with two plates on either side and balance and equal height.

They had a loving mother and an awesome father who told them about magical legends no one believed them though. The Mother was beautiful as well, and she always cared about the boys coming home on time to be safe, the woods can be dangerous at night.

One day, as Samson was with his family. Just the four of them; his dad, mom, and Nominum.  He lived in the forest and had a bunch of animals hidden in the forest. They always needed to hunt to get meat; that was Samson’s job mostly.  On that particular day, Samson had to go hunt for deer. He stepped outside and took a nice inhale breath and a nice exhale. He was relaxed and loved the smell of the forest. He was good at hunting but sometimes Samson had thoughts right before he would kill them; of apology. He was very skilled in throwing accurate long range shots. He was capable of ripping open a dead deer’s body. And as he was searching he came across a huge oak tree, it apparently did not have that many leaves left on the tree. That was odd because of the time of year. Perhaps the tree was slowly dying? He saw this deer in the distance; it was magnificent. Samson pulled out the knife and was ready to throw it there was a random snap on a branch somewhere in between the deer and where he was standing. The deer was shocked and started to run away from the noise. At that time Samson threw the knife and it gashed the deer’s behind legs, the deer weak, too weak to keep moving forward and after attempts to keep running the deer fell down was laying there. Samson came towards the deer. He got closer and closer. When the deer heard Samson coming closer, the deer looked straight into his eyes. Samson pulled another knife from his collection that he brings on hunting trips; he lifted his arms up above the deer, about to kill the deer when he smelled some smoke fumes. He felt sorry about what he was doing and was worried where the smoke came from. He said to the deer “Okay I’ll spare your life and help you this time.”

He found some huge leaves and wrapped it around each of the deer’s legs that were gashed. He helped the deer stand up and it finally had enough energy to get away. Samson started getting worried about what he could smell and traced his way back to his house; he came across that strange oak tree and saw a message in the tree that wasn’t there before.

If you are reading this, You are a stubborn kid; easily angered, what are you trying to gain. Therefore, I have a gift for you in down the path. Don’t be shy Samson!”

After he read the message he knew what happened before he looked. He went down the path and saw his family burned, his house burned into a pile of ashes. This was not an accident! The person who wrote the message killed them because there was no sign of the fire spreading. Samson searched for the bodies of his family when he saw three skeletons. Samson’s eyes started to water, he was crying. He had a slight face of hate. He stood up and said to himself.

“There is no way I am letting this scum bag get away with this! I am going to avenge my family! I will kill anyone who gets in my path!”

He stepped away from the pile of ashes and looked at the well that they had used. He saw a message on the stone wall around the surface of the ground. It said:
“Dark Shadow”
